comfort

Home is the one place in all this world where hearts are sure of each other. It is the place of confidence. It is the place where we tear off that mask of guarded and suspicious coldness which the world forces us to wear in self-defense, and where we pour out the unreserved communications of full and confiding hearts. It is the spot where expressions of tenderness gush out without any sensation of awkwardness and without any dread of ridicule. ~Frederick W. Robertson

i love going home at the end of the work day, or any day for that matter! my safe haven from the demands of my job...the public, co-workers, phones...oh lord, the phones.
sitting on the back deck with my hubby, nice glass of wine, watching the sun move in the sky, it's rays streaming through the trees on it's downward journey...birds chirping....where i feel at peace at the end of my day.

june love

june 7th we attended the wedding of a very dear family friend...we have known jeannia for...hmmmm...more than 15 years...she has been my hair lady for at least that long. her son nicholas, who is now a teenager, was one of my daycare kids for 4 years...nicholas was also the ring bearer in justin and lynn's wedding...so we have a history together. she is so happy and in love, we are happy for her...rick is a great guy.

the wedding was at gold hill winery, and what a perfect day it was. prior to sunday, we had thunderstorms and cool weather. sunday was perfection...

camping at ice house

our camping trip to ice house the end of may was just what the dr. ordered....rest and relaxation. we took the trailer up thursday afternoon, and the kids joined us on saturday afternoon for one night. aidan and tyler so love to camp, they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. the wind blew storm clouds in each afternoon...lots of lightning and thunder, it was ominous. we hunkered down in the trailer a couple of times waiting for the storm to pass through.
