i can't believe that i have been home from georgia for almost a week.
i haven't stopped since i returned home, i have been busy. good busy.
i had a great visit with my brother and sister, the weather was perfection.
it was sunny just about the whole time i was there,
rain didn't start until the last day or so.
i came home to sunshine as well, so i have had a good dose!
we did spend a day in savannah.
of course, went to savannah's candy kitchen on the river...
they have the best pralines EVAH!!
oh yes, they do...

changing the subject here...
on my art journey i have mainly worked with canvas and acrylics,
but i have always been so fascinated with encaustic art.
this artist inspires me, i discovered her blog quite awhile ago.
in her post...the mixed media panel to be bound as a journal cover soon???
it's mine!
i knew as soon as i saw the painting that i wanted the journal.
i emailed bridgette, made an inquiry...
and i was able to purchase it (it wasn't even bound yet.)
i got it over the weekend and i have to tell you, it is gorgeous!
the textures, the colors...i can't stop rubbing my hands over it!
and it is very nicely bound, so it lays flat...
i'm swooning.
craziness.
i do know now that i've had a piece of encaustic art in my hands
that i am going to do as much research as possible
and i am going to teach myself this art medium.
seriously. it's luring me in.
i can't wait to get started.
i will keep you posted...
in the meantime, check out bridgette's
website for some truly seductive art.

have a great week!
